Inspections....  Wipe and Bulk Sampling...  Air, Water, Soil and Surface testing.......

Surface dust collection and bulk samplings analysis have long been considered very informative tools for assessing the potential hazard existing in a building environment. Testor Technology's field technicians are trained and certified to conduct surface and bulk sampling of suspected materials according to the strict procedures set out by government regulations.

ASBESTOS: After treating the asbestos sample area to prevent asbestos particles from becoming airborne, a small sample is scraped from the sample area. The sample is properly documented and sent to an independent and certified laboratory. Following EPA guidelines and definitions of "ACM" (asbestos containing materials), the laboratory testing will reveal whether or not the sample is an ACM or not. ACMs are generally described as material containing 1% or more asbestos material.
.

LEAD: Lead detection methodology depends on the suspected lead source.

  • For paint, an X-Ray Fluorescence machine (XRF) is used in accordance with U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines.
  • For water, samples are collected following U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidelines and sent for analysis by atomic absorption.
  • Similar analytical techniques are employed for lead in Soil.
  • All wipe and bulk sampling are performed to accordance to HUD
    and EPA guidelines.

The samples are then properly documented and sent to an
independent and certified laboratory for analysis.
